The varsity level caps out at age 19 inclusively.  Unlike the NCAFA Midget level, which also has an age limit of 19, the teams compete against out of town competition and play a spring, rather than fall, schedule.

Myers Riders joined the Ontario Varsity Football League in 2001 after a dominant run in the Ontario Minor Football League at that age group.  While they have not duplicated their level of success in terms of championships (they had seven in the 90's), the varsity club is routinely competitive, having yet (unless the gaps in my research prove me wrong) to post a losing record in the OVFL.

The Cumberland Panthers entered a club the following year and while they have not been quite as consistent as their crosstown rival, they reached the championship game in 2010.  Games between the Riders and Panthers tend to be close, hard-fought contests and among the most entertaining of the local football season.
