The University of Ottawa's football program can trace its history back to 1881. It has twice won the National Championship, most recently 2000, and prior to that in 1975. That 1975 team is arguably the best-ever squad to compete at that level, evidenced in part by the 12 players from it that went on to successful professional careers.
The program also boasts four Hec Crighton award winners, given to the most outstanding player in Canadian university football, and three Frank Tindall trophy recipients, earned for coaching excellence. Lists of past scores, award winners, etc, are available in the menu on the left side of the page.

The original version of the Carleton Ravens first took to the field in 1945 and competed until their untimely demise in 1998 over funding issues. While not as successful as their in-town rival, the Ravens nonetheless left a mark in local football history by sending many players to the professional ranks and through their participation in the very popular Panda Game against the University of Ottawa.
After several years away from the field, recent attempts to revive the program have ultimately been successful and the Ravens will finally take flight again in 2013.
