Sorting out the various teams, levels and leagues around town was a bit challenging when I became more interested in local football. This is an attempt to provide a quick reference guide to anyone becoming interested in the local scene, at least for the age range (17+) covered by this site.
For the moment, the scholastic organizations are not covered. I doubt I am needed to explain the difference between high school, cegep and university. At the high school level, the difference between Tier 1 and Tier 2 seems to be nothing more than Tier 1 having the opportunity to compete at the provincial level if they win at the city level. Also of note is that games are four quarters of 12 minutes each (for seniors, anyway).
There are still details to be added and probably a couple of corrections required so bear with me.
